Underground Distribution Journeyman - Lineman

The UGE Lineman B assists Journeyman Lineman and the Foreman while in training and learning the trade. Responsible for performing work related to the construction and maintenance of poles, power lines, auxiliary facilities and equipment for the transmission and distribution of electricity. Set and work on underground transformers and other devices.

Properly phase and mark or tag underground equipment.

Function as a senior hands-on employee working on or around energized lines.

Minimum high school diploma, or equivalent. This job operates in a field environment. Also, working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.
