RN - Registered Nurse - PRN - Day, Evening and Night Shifts

Nursing Care: Deliver vital sign checks, medication administration, treatments, and restorative techniques

Assist inmates with daily living activities and provide health education and counseling

Emergency Response: Perform assessments and administer first aid, CPR, or AED during urgent situations

Record Management: Maintain accurate electronic health records and prepare reports for transfers or releases

Share shift updates and communicate key information to staff and supervisors

Sterilize instruments and maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies

Per Diem employment.

Work Hours: up to 48 hours bi-weekly. Every other weekend, One major holiday and one minor holiday per year.

Per Diem employees work all shifts as needed (shifts vary).

Shifts:

1. st shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
2. nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM)
3. rd shift (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM)

Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly salary of $50.52.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility

This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.

All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

If you are within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting. At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license.

Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
