In October 2025, Maydan Market opened in LA’s West Adams neighborhood, the first West Coast project by Rose Previte, founder of DC’s Michelin-starred Maydan, Compass Rose, Medina, and Kirby Club restaurants. Maydan in DC first opened in 2017 drawing critical acclaim as Best New Restaurant in Bon Appetit, FOOD & WINE, and GQ, nominated by the James Beard Foundation for both Best New Restaurant and Outstanding Wine Program, and earning a Michelin star. Compass Rose opened in 2014 winning the RAMMY for best casual restaurant in the nation’s capital and one of the Washington Post’s “Favorite Places to Eat.”

This new 10,000-square-foot market will be a home for small businesses to flourish, anchored by a live fire hearth, like its DC namesake restaurant. Inspired by markets from around the world, Maydan Market will bring diverse gems together under one roof including a Maydan restaurant and bar; Compass Rose, an indoor/outdoor patio bar with bites, cocktails, and natural wine; and will be home to five Los Angeles food businesses each with their own distinctive cuisine and critical acclaim.

Purpose: The Maydan bar team is responsible for the guest experience and bar operations. Every bartender exemplifies the culture and service of No White Plates through enthusiasm, work ethic, product knowledge, and an eagerness to create memorable dining experiences.
Deep knowledge of global food, spirits, and wine
Strong background in restaurant service
Fine dining and upscale serving experience
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship building skills
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Food Handler’s Card
Represent, support, and protect the brand.
Actively monitor food and beverage quality to ensure adherence with the company’s standards. Provide timely feedback to managers and help lead action to correct any issues when needed.
Regularly observe the floor and your section to ensure it is operating efficiently and consistently maintaining quality standards and timeliness.
Understand - at expert level - all aspects of the company’s food and beverage production.
Ensure all service and FOH facilities are properly maintained.
Actively monitor all service areas (dining room, bar, section) to ensure systems are being followed and guests are enjoying their experience.
Effectively serve a 4-5 table section with limited support staff help
Technology and platform use - (GoTab, G-Suite, Resy, etc.)
Maintain strict adherence to proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
Actively manage housekeeping systems and opening and closing checklists.
Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
Ensure all new policies and procedures are adopted and executed in the restaurant
Able to work 8-hour plus shifts
Finger/hand dexterity to operate bar tools and knives
Must possess hearing, visual and sensory abilities to observe and detect emergency situations; Incumbents will adhere to additional instructions and fulfill any related tasks as assigned by their supervisor, in accordance with company policies and management directives.
