Registered Nurse Post‑Surgical Unit at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth
Day Shift. Join our dedicated team to provide comprehensive post‑surgical nursing care for patients in a 30‑bed acute care surgical environment.

Provide nursing care for post‑surgical patients in accordance with accepted standards of care.

Respond to patients presenting to the Emergency Department and administer the Medical Screening Exam as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee.

Perform direct patient care within the scope of RN practice and hospital policies.

Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients based on individual needs and physician orders.

Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations.

Identify educational needs, implement and evaluate learning, and document patient/family education.

Manage acute and chronic pain, especially post‑procedure or surgical patients.

Perform Medical Screening Exams and follow all policies for follow‑up.

Follow all documentation policies.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Current Texas RN License.

Minimum two (2) years’ experience as an RN in a hospital medical/surgery or ICU unit.

Make decisions based on nursing judgment.

Prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.

Experience using Electronic Health Records.
