Estimator Position

We are representing a reputable commercial general contractor seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing preconstruction team. The Estimator will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates for a range of commercial projects, including ground-up builds, tenant improvements, retail, office, education, and healthcare. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with project managers, architects, and trade partners in a collaborative environment focused on precision, teamwork, and long-term success.

Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for commercial projects at various design stages

Solicit, analyze, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals for scope completeness

Develop and maintain updated budgets, bid packages, and preconstruction documents

Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and design coordination sessions

Support preconstruction handoffs and assist operations teams with project transitions

Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and assist in developing bid coverage

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

• 3–7 years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor
• Experience in ground-up, tenant improvement, or institutional projects (K-12, healthcare, higher ed)
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequencing
