The Respiratory Therapist 3 (RRT) provides advanced cardiopulmonary care to patients across the WCHN network. Responsibilities include performing critical assessments, lab monitoring, oxygen therapy management, pharmacological interventions, bronchial hygiene, airway management, and ventilator care for adult, neonatal, and surgical patients.
Reduce length of ventilator and ICU stays through proactive patient care.
Assess and treat hypoxia and bronchospasm with O₂ therapy and bronchodilators.
Draw and analyze arterial blood gases; recommend therapy adjustments.
Respond to trauma alerts, Code Green, Code 33, and Code Blue emergencies; Document patient care, charges, and interventions per department standards.
assist in orientation and training of new staff.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field. Bachelor's preferred.
Licensure/Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), CPR – Healthcare Provider, NBRC credentials. Open to CRT.
ventilator management experience (Adults/NICU) preferred.
Exposure to occupational hazards, including odors, noise, and patient care risks.
