Machine Minder (2nd Shift)

Machine Operator - 2nd Shift, 3PM-11:30PM, Mon-Fri

Avery Dennison Reflective Solutions is looking for a Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team at our Mt. Prospect, IL plant. In this role, you will work 2nd Shift, 3PM-11:30PM, Mon-Fri.

Those currently in the same department (Coating, Finishing, Shipping, etc.) They will be reviewed in accordance with the US Hourly Job Bid Policy and evaluated via our shift alignment process. The Machine Operator may be assigned to the embossing, sealing, or inspection departments as required to support the needs of the business. In this role, you will be assigned to one of three shifts (1st Shift, 2nd Shift, or 3rd Shift). The shift schedules are Monday-Friday and the hours for each are as follows: 1st Shift 7:00am-3:30pm, 2nd Shift 3:00pm-11:30pm, 3rd Shift 11:00pm-7:30am. *3rd shift Monday starts at 11:00pm Sunday night. Training for this position will take place on 1st Shift. You must be able to complete your training on 1st Shift before moving to 2nd Shift or 3rd Shift. Overtime opportunities are regularly available, depending on the needs of the business.

Activities and duties may vary depending upon site-specific needs and daily work assignments. Make decisions regarding quality issues.

Utilize continuous monitoring devices and other measuring equipment regularly.

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing experience required.

Comfortable working with computers.

Basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.

Regard safety as a core value and serve as role model for other employees. Adhere to safety practices, policies and procedures.

Have a strong service and quality focus, be able to address issues effectively when problems arise and take initiative to understand the root cause. Demonstrated record of flexibility and dependability in order to support production and customer focus.

Be able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests.

3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Prior experience working off-shift hours
• Desire to work overtime
