The Senior Systems Engineer for space technologyis responsible for supporting the development of systems engineering processes, leading milestone reviews, and guiding a multidisciplinary team through analysis, integration, verification, and validation.

The position reports to the Senior Director of Engineering and is part of the Engineering team based in Houston, TX or Cleveland, OH.

Define, trace, and manage system requirements across lifecycles using digital tools, while identifying interface requirements and controlling interactions across system and subsystem boundaries.

Lead the technical team in developing and executing verification and validation plans, and ensure systems meet quality standards through established quality control procedures.

Develop and review integrated system architecture through trade studies, leveraging system modeling and analysis to support technical decision-making.

Monitor and control processes to coordinate design changes and their impact across subsystems, ensuring alignment with organizational quality standards.

Provide technical and logistical support for milestone reviews, evaluate performance criteria, support the validation process, and prepare technical progress reports.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university required

7 to 9 years’ experience in a related field

Experience utilizing digital requirement management tools to define, trace, and integrate system requirements across lifecycles

Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through analysis, integration, verification, and validation

Experience with system modeling, analysis, and quality control procedures

Experience with system engineering and/or requirements management software tools (MBSE), and familiarity with engineering simulation, modeling, and/or analysis software

Experience with numerical reliability and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)

Travel, Physical and/or Government Mandated Requirements:

Travel up to 30%, including the possibility of overnights, both foreign and domestic, to launch sites, customer facilities, and NASA/Government centers

Ability to lift, move or carry items or equipment up to 10 pounds
