Temporary Payroll HR Generalist

The HR Generalist will handle primarily the leave programs and serve as a trusted resource to employees, managers, HR Business Partners, Payroll, and our third-party administrator. The ideal candidate combines strong knowledge of leave administration and regulatory requirements with empathy, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional employee experience.

Manage multiple leave programs while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements

Serve as a trusted resource to employees and managers regarding leave eligibility, processes, documentation, and return-to-work requirements

Coordinate effectively across HR, Payroll, managers, employees, and external partners to ensure seamless administration

Identify opportunities to strengthen leave administration processes, policies, and overall program effectiveness

Manage the end-to-end administration of leaves of absence, including FMLA, short- and long-term disability, military, personal, parental, and other company-sponsored leave programs

Serve as the primary liaison among employees, managers, HR Business Partners, Payroll, and the third-party leave administrator to ensure timely and accurate coordination

Review workplace accommodation requests and partner with appropriate stakeholders to identify reasonable accommodation options in accordance with the ADA, applicable laws, and company policies

Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, and the employee experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related direct field experience in leave administration.

3+ years of experience in Human Resources, benefits, or leave administration

Working knowledge of FMLA, short- and long-term disability, and state leave requirements

Experience with HRIS/HCM and third-party leave administration platforms
