Our teams have worked on signature projects such as the London 2012 Olympic Park and Legacy Framework, to the new plan for the LA2028 Olympics, to industrial facilities for GE and Rolls-Royce, to headquarters and workplaces for NASA, Unilever, Sony Music, DirecTV, Box, Inc., and many Fortune 500 companies.AECOM is seeking a mid-level Structural Engineer to be based in our Boston, MA office. This position will perform site visits to observe and report on construction activities and address field questions as well as coordinate design and construction issues.The Structural Engineer will be responsible for the following items: Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineerGathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined proceduresWorks on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple testsProposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignmentsIdentifies discrepancies in resultsProvides guidance to entry-level engineersPerforms work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervisionIndependently performs all the tasks necessary to complete the primary design elements for engineering worksMust be able to perform site visits to observe and report on construction activities and address field questions as well as coordinate design and construction issuesQualificationsMinimum Requirements :BS in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering or related discipline plus four (4) year of relevant experience in structural design of buildings and transportation structures or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education Must have either ETABS or SAP, Revit, and Microsoft Excel experience to qualify for this positionU.CitizenshipPreferred Qualifications :​PE License in the state of Massachusetts or the ability to obtain the license within 12 months of employmentSpecific software experience in ETABS or SAP, RAM Structural, AutoCAD, SAFE, TEDDS, SAP2000, MathCAD, SpecsIntact, spColumn, spBeam, spWall, Enercalc Masters in Structural Engineering6 years of experience preferredAdditional InformationSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this positionRelocation is not available for this positionAbout AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
