Towne Home Care is now offering our high quality care to individuals with developmental disabilities through programs run by the New Jersey Department of Developmental Disabilities. We are excited to provide supports in home and community based settings, where the emotional and psychological comforts of beloved surroundings could provide a quality of life that other settings simply cannot.

Towne Home care is seeking qualified and experienced Direct Support Professionals around Toms River - DSP who will continue our tradition of providing excellent individual - centered supportive care.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and community based supports to individuals in private residences and in the community on a one-on-one basis in accordance with the individuals ISP (Individualized Service Plan).
Act as a member of each individuals interdisciplinary team to assist with the development of their ISP.
Assist and support the individual to perform domestic and household tasks.
Assist individuals in completing personal care activities.
Assist individuals with mobility and physical therapies/exercises.
Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support.
Complete thorough logs outlining activities completed and connecting them to the goals of the ISP.
Skills:
Proven working experience as DSP preferred
Usage of a smartphone for case info and clocking in and out
Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards
Caring and compassionate personality
Ability to assess changing situations and respond accordingly.
Requirements:

• Completion of initial required DSP training modules through the College of Direct Supports
• CPR/BLS certification
• 1 Current PPD Test (Single Step PPD) or Chest X-Ray
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Access to a registered vehicle, proof of valid auto insurance, and valid drivers license.
• Must be comfortable driving client daily in own vehicle to various local outings and appointments.

• Pay rate generally begins at $23 depending on details and duties of the case. Applicants must complete all aspects of the hiring process, including application, interview, background check, DDD required training modules, and submission of all agency required documents.
