Perform thorough patient evaluations, order necessary diagnostic tests, and develop personalized care strategies
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health issues independently or in collaboration with physicians, depending on your credentials
Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies aligned with your scope of practice
Engage in patient follow-up and ongoing chronic care management activities
Work alongside interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, seamless care
Accurately document all patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR)
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Successful graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Active Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or corresponding specialty
