About the role Job SummaryThe Design Engineer is responsible for the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of plant buildings and machinery. This includes establishing standards for pollution control, testing, and maintenance, and recommending new equipment and systems.This job profile is intended for early-career professionals who apply broad theoretical knowledge and require the ability to investigate and analyze problems. SUMMARY:Assists in the design of centrifugal pumps, components, and equipment. Prepares basic design studies, calculations, drawings, Bills of Materials, and other engineering documents in accordance with customer requirements and department policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:· Prepares engineering details and drawings using CAD, Bills of Materials andengineering specifications to enable the complete manufacturing of pump products.· Performs designs and layouts of standardized pump components, assemblies, andequipment.· Reads and interprets drawings, specifications, procedures, and related materials.· Checks and approves drawings prepared by CAD drafters.· Performs design calculations to validate design layouts.· Participates in administrative functions of the department, including order and designreview meetings.Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards· Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN and EHSManagement System which includes following all safety, health and environmentalpolicies and procedures.
