Looking for Welder jobs in Hillsboro where your welding skills help build quality products? This opportunity lets you apply your craftsmanship to fabricate, join, and repair metal components while supporting safe, efficient manufacturing operations.
This opportunity is based on a MIG Welder career path and is being offered by Staffmark to qualified candidates.
Perform TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components and assemblies.
Fabricate, fit, tack, and weld large and small weldments according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and AWS welding codes.
Read and interpret blueprints, manufacturing drawings, work instructions, and AWS welding symbols.
Set up welding equipment according to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
Position and align materials using fixtures, jigs, measuring tools, and layout equipment to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Operate hand tools, air tools, grinders, and material handling equipment safely and effectively.
Perform visual inspections to verify weld quality and ensure compliance with blueprint and AWS requirements.
Maintain assigned welding equipment and perform basic preventive maintenance.
Welder Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical welding certification or completion of a two-year vocational welding program preferred.
• 3+ years of TIG and MIG welding experiencein a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Strong knowledge of AWS welding codes, symbols, and welding procedures.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment, including tape measures, calipers, micrometers, squares, and rules.
• Knowledge of welding machine setup and operation.
• Ability to produce welds that successfully pass visual and destructive testing.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, walk, push, pull, and grasp throughout the workday.
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements during welding operations.
• Close vision required for precision welding and inspections.
• Must meet required vision standards for welding.
