Responsibilities
Make a real difference as a travel PTA in Schererville, IN. You will work with patients recovering from injury or illness in an outpatient setting, helping them move better, feel better, and stay active under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.

Active Indiana Physical Therapist Assistant license required to start the assignment.

Recent outpatient experience required. OP experience within the last 2 years is required.

No new graduates.

Minimum prior clinical experience as required by client.

BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.

Ability to implement treatment goals, plans, and programs established by the Physical Therapist.

Experience with common outpatient therapeutic interventions including strengthening, balance, gait training, and functional skills training.

Familiarity with modalities such as hot/cold packs, TENS, ultrasound, and therapeutic pool is preferred.

Demonstrated commitment to patient and employee safety, safe patient handling, and infection control procedures.

Strong documentation skills and ability to provide patient and family education.

Assignment Details

Facility Type: Outpatient.

Shift Pattern: 5x8 schedule.

Duration: 13-week assignment.

Positions Available: 1.

Must be able to perform modalities and equipment-based treatments and safely use clinical equipment.

Must adhere to facility standards of appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
