Travel Nurse Emergency Room RN Night Shift Job

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Adult Emergency Department position requiring at least one year of ED experience, trauma experience, and AHA certifications on a night shift schedule.

Requirements

Active RN license (OK state license or eNLC compact license) required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA-issued certifications only accepted

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN or higher preferred

Trauma experience required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Responsibilities

Adult Emergency Department setting within a hospital

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)

Travel and trauma experience required for this role

13-week contract

Responsible for managing an assigned group of patients, including monitoring physiological data and intervening as necessary

Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products

Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders

Assists physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures

Communicates care plans and hospital procedures to patients and families, including discharge planning

Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate

Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period, following a maximum continuous engagement of 26 weeks (one extension allowed)

Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) is strictly enforced — non-compliance may result in cancellation
