Weekend Production Welders

METTLER TOLEDO industrial weighing solutions include sensor technologies, scale structures, scale electronics, and associated software for data management. The MTMS Welder 1 is responsible for performing basic welding tasks in accordance with established procedures and safety protocols within the steel and concrete lines of the VEH Value Stream. Layout, fit, and weld materials using support tools such as production orders, standard work, blueprints, and other documents related to the Engineering/Customer specifications.

Accurately enter data into the MRP (e.g. SAP) system and ensure that inventory is accurately stated.

Maintain accurate records such as production orders, data collection, and Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) sheets.

Set up and maintain all welding equipment and tools used in the department.

Maintain stock control, pull items for orders, work in other departments, and complete other related duties as required to fulfill customer orders.

Actively participate in entry-level 5S and Lean initiatives.

Safely operate forklift trucks and cranes.

Maintain quality throughout the weld process.

Attend training sessions to develop skills and knowledge in welding practices.

This role is for the 1st Shift: 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM

High School graduate with excellent math, reading, & writing ability.

Current or past AWS certification for D1.Ability to read and interpret standard AWS (American Welding Society) symbols.

Ability to work effectively with torches, cutters, staplers, hand/pneumatic tools, and hand tools (hammers, torque wrench, crow bars, etc.).

Ability to safely operate Jib and overhead cranes.

Ability to operate welding equipment.

Ability to perform quality inspections based on set expectations.

Ability to safely operate a forklift.

Ability to learn basic computer skills involving SAP and Microsoft Office.

Ability and drive to meet customer quality and delivery requirements.

Ability to work overtime when required (some on weekends).
