Cross Sound Ferry

Welder
Thames Shipyard and Repair is looking for a reliable, hard working welder to work at one of the largest commercial ship repair facilities between New York and Boston.

Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 6:30am-4:00pm
Saturday 6:30am-12:00pm
Overtime available Monday-Saturday
Double time available Sunday
Responsibilities:
Stick welding (SMAW) capability is essential; aluminum MIG and stainless steel TIG welding capabilities are beneficial but not required
Working from heights
Working from scissor and boom lifts
Working in confined spaces with limited access through eighteen inch hatch
Climbing ladders
Heavy lifting
Requirements
Pre-employment drug test
Respirator fit test and physical
Willing and able to work outside year round and in all weather conditions
