Bookkeeper Bookkeeping/Accounting Part-time

Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented part-time Bookkeeper to manage the financial records of a busy company. This individual contributor role reports directly to the owner and requires occasional travel for meetings. The position offers very flexible working hours, with a minimum commitment of weekly data entry for billable hours and increased involvement at the end of each month for the process of billing clients and sending invoices. The rate is negotiable depending on experience and other factors. Someone relatively close to the Chicago area is mandatory . Proficiency in English is mandatory as well. The majority of work will be remote but, in the event other things arise, somewhat local is essential.
Responsibilities
Perform data entry and invoice processing
Reconcile bank statements accurately
Track and record company expenses
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date financial records
Required Qualifications
5+ years of bookkeeping experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Proficiency with QuickBooks
Experience in accounts payable and receivable
Strong data entry skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Effective time management abilities
