Head of Manufacturing Quality Control

Whether you're early in your career or bringing years of experience, you?The position is responsible for the management and integration of inspection processes to ensure quality products are delivered to internal and external customers. Ensure performance to meet all production and prototyping requirements of production team.

Ensure the quality of all team product and establish sound quality processes.

Create updates and presentations as needed for Management.

Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager.

Conduct annual performance reviews for team members.

Maintain proper inventory levels in coordination with buyers and planners.

Monitor attendance, performance, training; complete performance assessments; Counsel poor performance up to and including termination in conjunction w/ manager.

Manage department priorities.

Assists with managing implemented quality systems.

Identify non-conformances through specified inspection methods.

Additional Responsibilities Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.

Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.

Physical Activities Work may be active, could stand or sit for long durations and/or perform repetitious work at times. Employees must grasp, manipulate, or assemble parts and components that are often very small. Must be able to wear appropriate clothing and personal protective equipment such as but not limited to masks, glasses, gloves, and specialty garments. The required PPE and training allow for the safe handling and processing of chemicals like adhesives, lubricants and solvents, and safe operation of job-related equipment and tools.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills Strong computer skills such as but not limited to Excel and Axapta.

Strong interpersonal, organization and management skills

Knowledge of existing processes and procedures to ensure process and productivity improvement

Working knowledge of tooling of substrates for coating.

Direct Reports This position supervises an area of employees within the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that area.
