Job Description:

• Position Title: BACKFILL - TRAVEL - RN - NEURO STEPDOWN
• Cost Center: 678
• Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Experience Required: 2 years

Unit Specifics:

- Number of Beds: 30 (22 Acute Care, 8 Stepdown)
- Patient Ratios:

• 6:1 on Acute Care
• 4:1 on Neuro Stepdown

- Unit Staffing:

• 1 RN Charge overseeing all of 10 Tower
• 1-2 Techs and a unit secretary available

- Type of Equipment:

• Acute Care: Vital sign machine, high flow oxygen, chest tubes, suction, and various drips related to stroke care
• Neuro Stepdown: Vapotherm, Bipap, Trachs, and titrating cardiac drips
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: Weekend shifts required
• Floating Policy: Experienced nurses can float after orientation
• Patient Experience Focus: Bedside shift reports, personal connections, and daily huddles

Hospital Specifics:

- Certifications Required:

• BLS for Acute Care
• BLS and ACLS for Neuro Stepdown

Hiring Profile:

- Must Have:

• Strong acute care nursing skills
• Time management expertise
• Neuro stepdown experience preferred
• Advanced Skills Needed: Strong critical thinking capabilities
• Common Procedures Performed: Lumbar punctures and chest tube placements

Dress Code:

• Wear black or any shade of blue or grey
• Any color scrubs on Fridays
