Substitute School Nurse

Visitation School is seeking Substitute School Nurse candidates who are available as needed during school hours. Visitation is an independent Catholic day school with a culture permeated by Salesian Spirituality. We offer a unique combination of learning experiences with a co-ed Lower School (Montessori preschool through grade 5), an all-girls Middle School (grades 6-8), and an all-girls Upper School (grades 9-12). A member of NAIS and accredited by ISACS, we are located on a beautiful 60-acre campus in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. Qualifications:

Registered Nurse (RN); Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN); Licensed School Nurse (LSN) preferred

Minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience.

CPR/AED Current Certification.

Working knowledge of the principles, practices, and ethical standards of Nursing; relevant state and federal laws, rules, and regulations; and applicable district policies and procedures.

Ability to deal effectively, appropriately and confidentially with students, parents, and other educational professionals regarding student health concerns and problems.

Understands the need to maintain confidentiality with students, parents, faculty and staff.

Knowledge of current health care issues, concerns and trends.

Computer experience with data entry skills helpful.

Interest in working with children/families.

Strong communication skills.

Previous experience working in a school preferred.
