J ob Description:
Crouch Staffing Solutions, Inc. is recruiting for a full-time Accounting Controller for a growing manufacturer in the Waco, TX area to oversee and manage all accounting and financial functions of the business. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting operations, producing financial reports, and supporting the management team with financial analysis and operational insight.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Management
Manage all general accounting functions including:
Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
General Ledger
Bank Reconciliations
Journal Entries
Fixed Assets
Payroll coordination

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Maintain accurate and timely financial reporting
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts
Manage sales tax filings and other compliance reporting
Coordinate with outside CPA for tax preparation and annual reviews
Operational & Management Support
Develop and maintain budgets and financial forecasts
Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to management
Monitor inventory accounting and costing - strong cost accounting experience
Assist with ERP/accounting system management and process improvements
Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures
Support management with reporting, KPIs, and operational analysis
Administrative & Other Duties
Assist with HR/payroll administration as needed
Manage vendor relationships related to accounting and banking
Support insurance audits, lender reporting, and other financial requirements
Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives
Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of accounting or controller experience
• Experience in distribution, construction supply, industrial supply, or waterworks industry preferred

~ Strong understanding of:

• financial statements
• cash flow management
• inventory accounting
• job costing

Experience with ERP/accounting systems
Advanced Excel skills
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Experience
Experience in small to mid-sized businesses
CPA or CMA designation is a plus but not required
