Preschool Teacher/TA

CORA’s Community Services Division is currently recruiting for an Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our Early Years Program at our Huntington Mills location

This is a full-time, on-site position

Associate’s Degree in ECE or CDA required

In addition, as an Assistant Preschool Teacher your duties will include:

Assisting the Lead Teacher in implementing educational lesson plans based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards, in conjunction with the OCDEL-approved curriculum.

Participating in individual and group activities to actively engage children and encourage cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

Adhering to schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime

Ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards, and safety and security of children

Helping to monitor growth and development of children based on established learning objectives using age-appropriate assessment tools

Establishing positive relationships with parents and maintaining frequent communication about student's growth and progress through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences

Participating collaboratively and professionally with other teachers and staff to promote the general well-being of the Early Years program

Helping with center-wide events, food program, preparation for assessments and audits, and other projects or tasks as assigned

Must have a CDA or AA degree in Early Childhood Education.

• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification required – CORA will pay for certification if hired without
• ability to establish and maintain positive, productive working relationships within CORA as well as with children and their families
• Demonstrated passion for engaging and teaching and supporting children
• Good computer skills and working knowledge of Office 365 applications
