Human Resources Generalist, Payroll and Recruitment

Nidec AMEC is seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Generalist II to serve as the onsite HR anchor for our Troy, Michigan office. The successful candidate will manage daily HR operations for the Troy site—including payroll, compensation and benefits, policy management, organizational development, and manager coaching. Additionally, this position plays a critical cross‑border role by providing direct recruitment support for our manufacturing and operational sites in Mexico.

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. (HR Certification such as SHRM‑CP or PHR is a strong plus).

3 to 5 years of progressive experience as an HR Generalist or similar HR role.

Language Skills

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred to effectively support the Mexico site recruitment and communication.

Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, or similar) and payroll systems.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Familiarity with Mexican labor laws is a bonus.

Responsible for making minor improvements of processes, procedures, or systems to contribute to the performance of the team.

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
