We're recruiting a licensed Client Service Specialist for a well-established, family-owned independent insurance agency with multiple offices across Northern Michigan. This role is a step up from purely administrative support — you'll be using your Michigan insurance license to directly assist clients on both personal and commercial lines, handle real coverage questions, and manage basic claims. Answering inbound calls and assisting clients directly on personal and commercial lines
Processing payments, policy endorsements, ID cards, and mortgagee change requests
Managing basic claims such as glass or tow claims from start to finish
Gathering quoting information to hand off to Account Managers and Executives
Supporting documentation and data entry in the agency's management system
Serving as a knowledgeable point of contact for client questions on their coverage

Strong phone and customer service skills
Comfortable with data entry and agency management software
Ability to communicate clearly with clients about coverage and policy details

Prior experience in a licensed insurance service or customer service role
Experience with both personal and commercial lines
Familiarity with agency management systems such as Epic

Work for a stable, well-established, family-run local agency
Variety across personal and commercial lines, not just one type of policy
Room to grow further within the agency's client service and sales teams
A team-oriented environment supporting both licensed staff and those working toward licensing

This is an active, client-facing role — you'll be fielding real coverage questions and handling live claims situations, not just administrative tasks. You'll need to be comfortable explaining policy details to clients and staying on top of documentation while juggling calls.
