Emergency Department RN Weekend Only Day Shift

$500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with a guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 12-hour Day/PM rotation shifts with start times at 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, or 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM
• PM shifts begin at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Possibility for on-call shifts, asked in advance but rarely required
• Primary placement in Emergency Department - Trauma Level II, 18-bed unit
• Fast-paced environment with 3-4 patients per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, administering nebulizer treatments, and utilizing Pyxis medication dispenser
• Respiratory therapy and X-ray staff available on-site in the ED
• Unit serves stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory patients
• EPIC charting experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience preferred; if no prior travel experience, 2 years of Trauma Level I or II experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs acceptable

This facility is a Trauma Level II hospital with a well-equipped 18-bed emergency department that is stroke certified and serves a diverse patient population including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory cases. The emergency department is supported by in-house laboratory services, respiratory therapy, and on-site radiology staff.
