Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

The labor and delivery unit is a 15-bed facility. It follows an inpatient rooming-in policy where all infants will room with their mothers. Newborn nursery services will be utilized for infants requiring additional care. Nurses will care for patients across a broad age spectrum, from neonates to adults. Every other weekend coverage is required. Nurses will use the OMNICELL medication system and communicate using the SBAR method. In this role, you will assist with various procedures including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum care. You will provide education and support on breastfeeding and newborn care. Experience with amnioinfusion, magnesium sulfate therapy, and nitrous oxide is preferred. Nurses will actively participate in the assessment and management of labor, pain relief, and fetal monitoring. Knowledge of and adherence to infection control practices are essential. Expect to take on responsibilities within a multi-disciplinary team to support patient care and outcomes.

Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS (Required) AWHONN Advanced (Preferred) AWHONN Beginner (Required) AWHONN Intermediate (Preferred) BLS (Required) NRP (Required) Must-Have: Charge experience preferred Travel experience required
