Head of Project Management

Locations: Charlotte, NC; Detroit, MI; North Charleston, SC; Tulsa, OK.

Responsibilities

Develop and update weekly project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.

Coordinate with owners, contractors, field engineers, and project managers to ensure schedule accuracy.

Evaluate schedule progress and performance, proactively identifying problem areas.

Analyze critical path and constraints to determine the impact of changes and recommend alternative work paths.

Conduct recovery analyses for slipped schedules.

Engage with project teams, collect and produce schedule information, and participate in all project meetings.

Support management in maintaining timely change‑management processes, procedures, and systems.

Plan and develop schedules, task durations, cost estimating, resource analysis, and report design.

Provide CPM scheduling functions, cost collection, risk identification, forecasting, and reporting.

Apply innovative management techniques to improve team performance and foster collaboration.

Assist with budget forecasts, monitor financial progress, analyze work progress, and develop craft productivity reports.

Facilitate work‑package prioritization, document business requirements, and create dashboards and visualizations.

Perform root‑cause analysis, manage risks, and drive continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years of hands‑on CPM scheduling experience (Oracle Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, etc.) in construction, petrochemical, utility, or heavy industrial industries.

Experience with resource and/or cost loading is a plus.

Strong written and oral presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and manage multiple tasks in complex environments.

Proficiency with databases, cost control systems, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and scheduling systems.

Knowledge of project cost estimating, budget forecasting, and financial monitoring.

Ability to analyze critical path, constraints, and propose alternative plans.

Experience with change‑management processes, risk management, and continuous improvement.

Strong organizational and analytical skills; proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
