Engineering - civil engineering

We are seeking an experienced Civil Design Engineer to support the development and implementation of detailed engineering designs for existing plant facilities. This individual will create high-quality design packages, provide engineering procurement and field technical support, and contribute technical expertise to facility troubleshooting and engineering assessments.

The Civil Design Engineer will work as part of an integrated project team and may serve as the technical lead for multidisciplinary assignments. This role requires close collaboration with system engineers, plant customers, craft personnel, outside engineering firms, and other production and support organizations.

Develop high-quality, detailed civil engineering design packages.

Provide engineering procurement support during the implementation of approved designs.

Deliver field technical support to craft personnel and other project stakeholders.

Perform field walkdowns within existing plant facilities to gather information, validate conditions, and support the development of design documents.

Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting and assessments of plant facilities.

Work collaboratively as a member of an integrated project team.

Serve as the technical lead for multidisciplinary tasks, as needed.

Provide technical input and recommendations to system engineers and plant customers.

Develop technical solutions for complex engineering problems using established engineering practices, codes, and standards.

Provide technical oversight of outside engineering firms.

Apply civil engineering principles, theories, concepts, and applicable consensus design codes throughout design and implementation activities.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.

Minimum of 10 of relevant engineering experience.

Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, theories, practices, codes, and standards.

Experience developing technical solutions for complex civil engineering challenges.

Ability to work effectively with clients, engineering teams, production and support organizations, management, and hourly employees.

Ability and willingness to work in an active production and plant environment.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary project team.
