The CAD Engineer will produce and modify detailed technical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and MicroStation. This role supports rail-transit design and construction projects by working closely with engineers and project managers to translate technical specifications into accurate, industry-compliant documentation. This position also includes fieldwork and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure design integrity and implementation accuracy.
Create and revise design drawings and 3D models for rail-transit infrastructure projects.
Translate engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations into detailed technical documents.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field staff to support design development and problem-solving.
Maintain organized digital drawing files, records, and supporting documentation.
Assist in developing bills of materials and parts lists based on design documents.
Troubleshoot and resolve CAD-related issues efficiently.
Stay informed on emerging CAD technologies and industry best practices.
Support field surveys and installations as required by project phases.
Certification in CAD/Drafting

(5+ years of experience using AutoCAD design software

  • Familiar with CAD software such Bentley/MicroStation, REVIT, SolidWorks, or similar platforms
  • Knowledgeable in engineering and construction industry standards, materials, and regulations
  • Familiar with project management and design workflow tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Procore
  • Physically able to navigate construction sites

(Willingness to work outdoors and conduct field surveys

Works indoors in an office environment
Occasionally works outdoors at construction sites
Role requires air and vehicular travel at various times
