Machine Minder (3rd Shift)

An Operations Technician 2 is part of our pay for skills program and allows individuals to continue to build skills providing opportunity to increase their compensation. Individuals at Level 2 have accumulated 3-4 skill blocks. Skill blocks may include skills in Assembly, Machine Operation or Material Handling. As an entry level Operations Technician, you will assemble products and/or related parts in a manufacturing setting at a standard rate of work based on customer demand and lean manufacturing principles to satisfy the customer and to provide high quality products delivered in a timely manner. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Cross‑training in other departments to learn additional functions is required.
Individuals with Machine Operation skills operate specialty machinery to fabricate, manufacture, assemble or move products meeting all necessary specifications and quality control standards.
Performs multiple processes using a variety of equipment in a manufacturing setting, dependent upon the department processes.
Produces a high‑quality product delivered in a timely manner to satisfy customers.
Solves problems with the assistance of other team members and seeks continuous improvement.
The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Required to learn additional functions through cross‑training in other departments.
Works overtime as needed.

1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience which demonstrates performance competency.
