Job Description
Registered Nurse - ICU
Location
San Antonio, TX
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, rotating weekends.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our ICU unit. The ideal candidate will provide critical care for patients, ensuring high standards of nursing practice and effective patient management. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care and optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care and monitor vital signs in the ICU.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers.
Document patient care and progress in the electronic health record.
Participate in family education and support.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Active Texas RN license (temp licenses are not accepted).
Must have current ACLS and BLS certifications.
Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.
NIHSS Certification required.
Experience with vasopressors preferred.
Meditech documentation experience is a plus.
