Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Every Other Weekend Required | No On-Call Required
Key Responsibilities
Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process — including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned Cardiac and Telemetry patients
Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatment
Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with level of practice
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner
Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and resources
Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed to manage the clinical situation; willingness to float is required
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in the state of employment or valid compact license
BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
Minimum 1 year of experience in a Telemetry or related nursing specialty
Must be willing to float as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Experience with EPIC EMR
Background working with Cardiac and Telemetry patient populations (non-stepdown setting)
