Your Life As A Caregiver This companionship and caregiving position offers flexible hours and opportunities to assist veterans on both day shifts. Clients may receive as little as 4 hours of care, while others require 24-hour care.

As a Caregiver, you have the rewarding job of helping veterans live as fully and independently as possible while remaining in the places they love. You competently provide non-medical care and home companionship, helping with various responsibilities such as grocery shopping. With the client's dignity always at the forefront of your mind, you help veterans maintain proper personal hygiene. At times, you provide companionship to veterans who have dementia or cognitive impairments. Your kind and patient demeanor serves you well as you ensure they receive the highest quality of care.

You carefully complete documentation for each shift, submitting timely updates. Committed to providing consistent care, you communicate routinely with the office about the condition and needs of the veterans you care for. You feel good about helping veterans enjoy their golden years and you are glad you have an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of other veterans.
