Paramedic - Emergency Department - Full Time

We are seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. The specialist works under the guidance of the Center Manager/Assistant Manager for operational matters and the Center Physician for medical issues. Familiarity with plasma collection regulations or a manufacturing environment and adherence to BioLife Medical Affairs guidance are required. The position also supports environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives.

Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).

Evaluate donor reactions, follow SOPs for medical emergencies, assist with Center Physician standing orders, and manage donor transport to emergency care.

Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues related to donor safety and eligibility.

Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.

Manage employee incidents, coordinate further evaluation with occupational health/ER, and follow EHS guidance.

Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats.

High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate‑equivalent recognized nursing program meeting state requirements.

EMT‑Paramedic) in the state of assignment.

State‑required basic IV therapy certification.

Completion of FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Hourly Wage Range: $24.32 - $33.44. The actual hourly wage will be based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
