Job Description Now Hiring: Special Education Teachers

We are seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers for multiple full-time openings for the 2026–2027 school year. Opportunities are available across a variety of self-contained classroom settings serving students with diverse learning, behavioral, and support needs.

Students functioning on grade level with minimal support needs

Responsibilities

Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals

Manage and support self-contained special education classrooms

Collaborate with related service providers and support staff

Participate in IEP meetings and progress monitoring

Maintain compliance with state and district requirements

Foster academic, behavioral, social, and functional growth

Support & Resources

Special Education case management support

Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultants (LDTCs) available

Newly expanded behavioral support team

Lower student-to-teacher ratios in many specialized programs

District-developed curriculum and instructional resources

Qualifications

must hold:

New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) endorsement or

New Jersey Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH) endorsement

AND

A valid New Jersey primary teaching certification aligned with the grade level and/or subject area being taught.
