DIETITIAN - DIETICIANS ( FULL TIME)

Sodexo has an exciting opportunity for a Full‑time Registered Dietitian 2 to support YES Prep Public School District in Houston, Texas. This position offers a chance for a Dietetics Professional with a passion for working in schools to provide nutritional guidance and recommendations based on students’ dietary needs.

What You’ll Do

Work closely with food service employees in a central kitchen and in school cafeterias;

Assist in menu development, analysis and management of nutritional information;

Provide leadership and supervision for the on‑site food service staff in the delivery of our contractual agreement with the client;

Oversee the PrimeroEdge platform to house recipe and nutritional information and production records;

Train food service staff and managers on systems and processes within nutrition services;

Source the right portfolio of products and services to create the best value;

Collaborate with staff, faculty, parent groups and community leaders to meet wellness goals and implement innovative, hands‑on learning programs that incorporate food and nutrition within regular curriculum;

Achieve company and client financial targets and goals;

Be responsible for all special diets required by the district; and

Comply with all local, state and federal regulations as it relates to school nutrition.

Experience working in schools;

Expertise on dietary preferences and allergies to guide nutritional choices accordingly;

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels;

Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing needs;

Commitment to continued education in the nutrition field and implementation of new and innovative ideas;

Registered Dietitian and Texas state licensure.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).

Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire; certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.

Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long‑term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian.
