The Server ensures all guests receive the highest standards of hospitality and are served to the community standards in the dining areas. This position greets and guides residents, and supports food and beverage operations in a friendly, timely and efficient manner. Serving:

Provide the highest quality of service to customers at all times.
Greet residents and engage with them in a friendly manner. Respond to inquiries and provide assistance.
Promptly greet guests as they are seated and serve ice water, coffee, rolls, or butter to guests
Ask about any food allergies or dietary restrictions.
Record food and beverage orders on notepads or on POS system. Serve food and beverage to the guests as per the course of order. Maintain proper dining experience (deliver items, fulfill customer needs, offer dessert and drinks, replenish utensils, refill glasses, etc.).
Stock cabinets or serving areas with condiments and refill condiment containers.
Coordinate with bus person and/or kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation.
When possible assist in washing/loading dishes in the station dishwasher. May perform or act as a Host or Hostess if needed.
Promptly clean table tops, chairs, booths, and the floor under and around tables between for the next shift.
Obtain service area assignments at the beginning & end of each shift.
Attend pre-shift meetings and training.
Assist other servers and areas of dining (answer telephones, Take Out transactions, catering services)
Help residents as needed (seating, standing, retrieving walkers, etc.)
Training and Policy Adherence:

Ensure compliance with various licensing and regulatory agencies, including but not limited to: Attend all allergy and food-borne illness in-service training.
CPR and choking training.
Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
Attend training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions with all residents, colleagues, clients, vendors, and members of the public

• Provide a supportive and caring environment to meet the needs of residents as individuals and as members of a shared community
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety, and compliance practices, and business ethics codes

1 year of related work experience.
~ Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and cash-handling procedures preferred.

High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred.

Computer/Software/Technical Applications:

~ Ability to use a computer.

Languages :

~ Ability to speak and comprehend English the primary language used in the workplace; ability to speak and/or comprehend other languages utilized by clients is a plus.

Must possess or be able to obtain a California Food Handlers Card.
Supervise activities and events outdoors. Position requires ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays.

Talk or hear during face-to-face communications in a noisy commercial kitchen work area
