Manufacturing Chemical Blender

This role is an Hourly - Direct Labor position responsible for operating and supporting a coating process. The primary equipment is operated through HMIs and a series of switches, pushbuttons, and other interactive control points. Successful operators produce the required amount of product in a defined period while ensuring all EHS and quality requirements are continuously satisfied. The operator works as part of a team with Operations Support, Engineering, Maintenance, and Management personnel. Overtime may be required on occasion; limited travel may be required to support training. Perform complex, multi‑level tasks from procedures and work instructions, including precise use of equipment and adherence to all SOPs.

Maintain timely and accurate record‑keeping using digital and handwritten tools.

Maintain 100% compliance with PPE requirements and verify equipment before each task.

Follow best‑practice guidelines for product and raw‑material handling in a high‑vacuum coating environment.

Complete periodic TPM activities and checklists to support assigned processes and equipment.

Review own work for completeness and quality compliance, including electronic data logs, physical measurements, visual inspections, and gauge confirmations.

Operate support equipment such as abrasive blasting systems, parts washers, high‑temperature ovens, material‑handling equipment, surface‑enhancement equipment, and robotic water‑jet blasting systems.

Support coater operators with part loading/unloading, fixture assembly/disassembly, and chamber loading steps.

Maintain metal coating fixtures, including visual verification and removal of residual coating or contamination.

Assist process team in standard rebuild and material loading tasks (e.g., Maintain punctual and accurate timekeeping according to site direct‑labor recording standards.

Cross‑train in other coating process areas as needed, completing training before assignment.

High‑school diploma or GED.

At least 2 years’ experience in a production manufacturing environment.

Additional education, training, certifications, or licenses may be considered and may supersede the above requirements.

Proficient reading, writing, and verbal communication in English.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence (digital or handwritten).

Basic understanding of scientific principles including fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and energy is a plus.
