Teller / Bank Teller - Nights

Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Obtain adequate understanding of all bank products and services and be able to explain the benefits and features of each as they relate to individual customers.

Obtain adequate understanding of Bank Policy and Procedures and Deposit Compliance and Regulations to insure that all duties are performed within the accepted parameters.

Perform the paying and receiving functions of a teller including but not limited to verifying and validating deposits; making withdrawals from accounts; cash negotiable instruments; count coin and currency and prepare for transfer to vault; sell Cashier's Checks, Money Orders, redeem Savings Bonds; accept loan payments, perform cash advance for Visa/MasterCard and Quick Draw; process night depository items; all of which must be done in accordance with bank policy and Federal regulations.

Maintain an adequate level of accuracy in handling the cash drawer and the preparation of customer's transactions.

Responsible for compliance with the BSA/AML Policy as follows.

Provide exemplary customer service by greeting the customer with a smile and direct eye contact; calling the customer by name; acknowledging any waiting customer; listening for the customer's needs and cross-selling any product or service that might meet that need; and always thanking the customer for his business.

Assist customer with non-paying and receiving functions such as balance inquires, bookkeeping problems, check orders, maintenance changes to account, stop payments, and memos.

Answer telephone and assist customers with their needs always using proper telephone etiquette.

Assist with general housekeeping so as to always present an organized and professional appearance.

Attend ongoing training classes as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

High school graduate (or equivalent) required.

Previous cash handling and sales/customer service experience preferred.

Ability to clearly communicate and interact with customers both internally and externally.

Excellent math and computer skills.

Professional appearance and pleasant demeanor.
