Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care within a clinical setting, demonstrating independence and awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. The role requires managing routine and complex cases, establishing long-term care plans, and coordinating with care providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
Schedule: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM, full-time position with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred), BLS certification from AHA required, RN License in the state of employment or in a compact state, 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the medical surgical nursing specialty.
Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
Address increasing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice.
Administer medications and treatments following appropriate protocols, monitor for side effects and effectiveness, and document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers to manage clinical situations effectively.
