Full Time Security Professional 1st Shift

Schedule: Full Time Day, 12-hour shifts with weekend and holiday rotation

The Security Officer performs a variety of duties involving safety, security, emergency management, monitors CCTV cameras, responds to and investigates security incidents, and assists and interacts with patients, visitors, vendors and staff as needed. Security Officers may be required to perform other tasks or duties as requested by the Security Manager or Director.

Provides security for the hospital’s patients, visitors, and staff and safeguards the property by immediately responding to all requests and emergency codes.

Reports potential fire safety hazards.

Performs and participates in security, safety, facilities inspections, fire watches, and alarm checks.

Assists in various security situations as required or directed as outlined in the Emergency Management Manual.

Observes and maintains radio communication with the Switchboard at all times. Must be able to use computers, fax machines and telephones.

Possesses the flexibility to work weekends, holidays and off-shifts as required by department staffing needs.

Will be required to drive a motor vehicle and adhere to the Driver/ Fleet Safety Policy

High School Diploma or GED is required.

Must have a valid driver’s license, free from restrictions and insurable by hospital insurance company

A Department of Motor Vehicle Driving History Release must be submitted prior to employment and annually must be in and remain in complaince with Frisbie's Driver/Fleet Safety Policy.

6 months previous experience in hospital or campus security, law enforcement, corrections or military is required
