Government Law Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Government Contracts Attorney in McLean, VA, with four or more years of relevant experience to join its expanding government contracts practice. The role offers opportunities for associate, senior associate, and counsel positions, depending on experience. The attorney will engage in federal contracting matters, including bid protests, FAR compliance, and subcontracting issues.
Duties Advise clients on federal contracting matters, including bid protests and claims.
Ensure compliance with FAR and DFARS regulations.
Handle subcontracting and teaming issues.
Engage in joint venture agreements and small business federal procurement programs.
Collaborate across practice areas within the firm.
Requirements Four or more years of government contracts experience.
Bid protest experience.
Familiarity with FAR and DFARS.
Experience with subcontracts, teaming issues, and contract claims is a plus.
Strong analytical, writing, and oral communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Active member in good standing of the bar of any jurisdiction; willingness to seek Virginia admission if not already admitted.
Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications Active bar membership in any jurisdiction.
