Licensed Practical Nurse LPN Cardiac Care

Provide professional nursing care to patients by following established standards, clinical practices, and safety protocols. Deliver patient-focused support in a fast-paced cardiac care setting, assisting providers with examinations, diagnostic/treatment processes, medication administration, and education.

Provide direct nursing care and monitor patient responses to medications and treatments.

Administer prescribed medications and perform clinical treatments using appropriate equipment.

Educate patients, families, and caregivers on care plans, medication effects, and post-visit instructions.

Support safety by identifying hazards, maintaining infection control, and responding calmly to emergencies.

Participate actively as a healthcare team member to coordinate and prioritize patient care needs.

Qualifications: Hold a current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Maintain American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renew every two years.

Demonstrate knowledge of practical nursing principles for quality patient care and treatment.

Utilize medical terminology and office procedures with clear, effective communication skills.

Apply basic understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines as appropriate to clinical workflows.

Strengthen clinical decision-making and emergency readiness through hands-on patient care.

Expand cardiac care competencies through collaborative provider support and patient education.
