Johns Hopkins Intrastaff is the internal staffing agency for the Johns Hopkins Health System and we are hiring a Radiation Therapist at Johns Hopkins Sibley Memorial Hospital .

Prepares and delivers prescribed radiation therapy treatments in accordance with Radiation Oncologist instructions. Operates radiation oncology equipment including CT simulators, linear accelerators, QA dosimeters, and related computer systems. Experience with Elekta equipment is a plus.

Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC.

67.00 - $70.00 per hour (Based on location and experience).

Join us in delivering exceptional care and advancing medical science. Accurately delivers prescribed radiation therapy per treatment plan, protocols, and safety standards with minimal supervision

Prepares treatment rooms and equipment and positions patients according to approved treatment plans

Operates linear accelerators, CT simulators, diode systems, QA dosimeters, and related computer systems

Communicates treatment procedures, expectations, and Radiation Oncologist guidance to patients

Monitors patients during treatment using visual and audio systems and responds to side effects or emergencies as needed

Administers contrast media as required and obtains/document patient history related to treatment or contrast use

Maintains accurate treatment records, billing documentation, and completes required electronic or written forms

Performs port films, localization verification, and supports simulation procedures under physician direction

Follows all radiation safety, infection control, and departmental regulatory standards

Reports equipment issues or supply needs and assists with departmental cleanliness and organization

Completion of high school/GED required but Bachelors degree preferred

Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Functional knowledge of, linear accelerators, CT simulator, computer equipment, printers, various radiation dosimeters, diode system, automatic film processors.
