Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Location: Beckley, WV
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Shift: 06:30 AM - 03:00 PM
Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) plays a critical role in providing specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia. The nurse will assess, monitor, and support patients of all ages undergoing various surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care in the PACU, ensuring safety and comfort during recovery.
Monitor vital signs and symptoms, evaluating patient responses to anesthesia.
Administer medications and manage intravenous lines as per protocols.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the surgical team regarding patient status.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Participate in patient assessments and plan of care development.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia.
Preferred certifications include ASPAN, ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including experience in PACU, ICU, or ER settings.
