RN - Registered Nurse - PRN - Day, Evening and Night Shifts

If you are a dedicated and caring nurse looking to step away from the bedside into a rewarding role , please read further! We need strong nurses who are experienced and interested in working directly with clients who are being treated for substance use disorders and mental health stabilization . While performing your day-to-day nursing duties, you will perform very little to no bedside care! This is not medical surgical nursing, ICU, or a critical care position, however, our clients do come to us at a critical time of need, and we need excellent nurses who are willing to critically think, follow policy and procedures, and work as part of a team.
We are looking to fill RN positions at our Common Ground and Concept 90 24/7 residential programs.
Concept 90 - RN for evening shift with rotating weekends and holidays. Hours are flexible to be 3:00pm - 11:00pm, 4:00pm -12:00am or 2:00pm - 10:00 pm.
Gaudenzia's Mission is to promote long-term recovery by providing comprehensive treatment and support to people with substance use disorder, co-occurring mental health disorders, and related conditions, regardless of individual circumstances.
Compensation RN Applicants: $40.69 - $46.50 p/hr.
Qualifications Education/Training: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Must have good standing license (RN) valid in the state in which clinical will practice. RN 1: May be recent graduate of approved nursing school with up to one (1) year experience.
RN 2: Two (2) to five (5) years nursing experience, with one (1) year in addictions, mental health, or related specialty.
RN 3: Five (5) or more years nursing experience, with two (2) years in addictions, mental health, or related specialty
Responsibilities Perform initial nursing assessment for clients within 24 hours of admission in accordance with established program policies and state regulation.
Arrange appropriate appointments with Health Care Providers to secure complete physical examinations, as well as required additional health screenings and supplemental tests.
Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies and accurate records of same in compliance with governing regulations and agency policy.
Counsel clients on nutrition, health care, self-care, symptom management etc.
Ensure that clients have appropriate medical coverage to guarantee safety, adequate care, and provider compliance for payment.
Assist in the facilitation of special events, including, but not limited to: staff training, staff retreat, workshops and facility events.
Implement health seminars, including, but not limited to: HIV/AIDS, nutrition, medication education, infectious diseases, mental health, etc.
Implement and assure adherence to infection control policies and practices.
Provide education for clients regarding health, nutrition, safety, and medication compliance.
Other related duties as assigned by Nurse Manager or designee.
Required to work rotating weekends including one off shift per week to ensure program coverage.
May be required to work shifts outside of assigned shifts during critical staffing shortages.
The minimum holiday requirement is 1 major summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day) and 1 major winter Holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day (night shift: Other Holidays will be rotated amongst all staff.
For Gaudenzia sites with multiple programs, you may be required to work in any of the programs based on staffing needs
PRN positions - 3 shifts per month are required.
