Head of Operations Management (m/w/d)

Summary
The Operations Manager oversees and directs back-of-house operations within the showroom, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and systems to deliver an exceptional client experience. Reporting to the Showroom Director, this role supports sales through process improvements, staff training, and operational oversight. The Manager is responsible for inventory control, shipping and receiving, service department coordination, and maintaining store security and compliance.

Responsibilities

Manage employee issues, onboarding, training, and completion of new hire paperwork.

Provide floor coverage and support the sales team to ensure a superior client experience and maintain brand image.

Manage daily store operations including opening and closing procedures and scheduling security.

Oversee shipping and receiving, cycle counts, and inventory control for watches and fine jewelry.

Coordinate the Service Department and repair processes with the Repair Manager.

Implement loss prevention measures, reconcile merchandise discrepancies, and manage controllable expenses.

Ensure team compliance with retail operating procedures and maintain system proficiency (POS and SAP).

Requirements

High school degree or college degree.

Previous experience in retail operations.

Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills; organized and detail oriented.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and familiarity with POS/SAP systems.

Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays and to stand/walk for extended periods.
