General Urology Physician Faculty

This is a full‑time position at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level focusing on patient care with participation in training medical students and residents. Expertise or interest in quality and process improvement, clinical research, and/or clinical administration as a medical director is desired. The candidate must have excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills and be competent in technical, clinical and surgical procedures.

The scope of duties in adult general urology includes diagnosis, consultation, and treatment of adult patients with various disorders of the genitourinary system in ambulatory and hospital settings, including oncology, stone disease, and male and female voiding dysfunction. The practice is supported by physician assistants and nurse practitioners, a state‑of‑the‑art video urodynamics suite, substantial procedural and office space, and dedicated clinical staff. Opportunities exist to use the da Vinci Robotic System and to establish multidisciplinary and outreach programs. All faculty participate in quality improvement, practice management, continuing education, and other patient‑care programs. Patient call is shared on an equal basis with other physicians.

Performs surgical procedures where assigned.

Directs and provides direct and indirect patient care services in both inpatient and outpatient settings; conducts ambulatory clinics; interviews, obtains and reviews medical history of patients; performs physical examinations to assess medical or surgical needs; orders special procedures, diagnostic testing, and other ancillary services; documents all services and instructions in the medical record; educates patients and promotes wellness, prevention and early detection by providing materials, resources and services to patients and their families; maintains open communication with referring physicians.

Ensures continuing medical educational requirements are met; participates in department, college, medical center and university committees and other service activities.

Serves as preceptor and provides training of residents, fellows, and students, as well as other members of the health professions team including advanced practice providers.

Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), board certified or board eligible in the required specialization. Commensurate with experience level, Bonus, Relocation Assistance
